The film starts with a demonstration of the relevant anatomy of the structures in the neck on a pull-apart model. The technique of insertion of a CVP line over a Seldinger guide wire is shown first on one patient under local anaesthetic using the subclavian approach, and then on an anaesthetised patient using an internal jugular approach. The technique for measuring the central venous pressure is then shown, and the film finishes with a discussion of the do's and don'ts of Central Venous Pressure Lines. 2006
