This series of programmes covers much of the basic information needed for the study of Earth Science as part of the National Curriculum for Science(UK) at key stage 3. The programmes contain field shots, experiments and microscopy combined with concise computer graphic explanations. In addition to key stage 3, this video provides a good grounding for teachers of science at key stages 1 and 2 as well as providing a starting point for students of key stage 4 and A-level Geology and Geography courses. The programmes are designed to act as a springboard for further teacher-assisted or self study and suggestions for follow-up work are given throughout the programmes and as accompanying notes. The programmes are available separately, or on a single DVD as the Earth Science Series. Each individual programme is approximately 15 minutes long.
