The Chest Pain Simulator screen shows the patient's general appearance and colour (changes with treatment). Interventions such as IV, monitor, and BP monitoring are seen in the window. The menu bar allows you to ask the patient questions, examine him, and order tests or interventions. Easy icons provide quick access to often-used interventions (centre of screen). The patient chart can be opened by clicking on the tabs. The chart automatically records your interventions, and stores lab, EKG, x-ray reports, etc. Vital signs are recorded in a scrolling window for easy access. Other windows show ECG monitor, pulse oximeter, etc. |
| There are 30 patients in the simulator. A patient can have a different diagnosis each time you select him for management. The symptoms and "complicating factors" will be slightly different each time. You can pick a patient by diagnosis, at random, or by number. |
