The planet Mars has a diameter of 6,794 kilometres, and is located 228 million kilometers, or 1.52 astronomical units from the Sun, making it the fourth planet from the Sun. It takes 687 days to complete one revolution around the Sun, and 24 hours, 37 minutes and 23 seconds to complete on rotation. It's atmosphere is carbon dioxide, and it has a temperature of -125 degrees to 35 degrees Celsius. Mars has two satellites, Phobos and Deimos.
