| Coronary Arteries - The arterial supply of the heart is exclusively by the coronary (from the Latin: 'crown') arteries. The right and left coronary arteries encircle the heart in the (right and left) atrioventricular grooves. Their anterior and posterior interventricular branches occupy the (anterior and posterior) interventricular grooves, which lie at right angles to the atrioventricular grooves. |
