Axillary Artery

Axillary Artery - An image of the axillary artery and it's branches is obtained by injection of contrast medium via a catheter passed upward through the femoral artery and along the aorta to the subclavian artery on the appropriate side. The image is of the left axillary artery and its branches distal to the catheter.
