| Posterior Pelvic Wall Layers
- The posterior pelvic wall is located in front of the sacrum. There are
two sets of apertures associated with the posterior pelvic wall. The
greater sciatic foramen is the aperture between the posterior pelvic wall
and the gluteal region of the lower limb. It's anterior margin is adjacent
to the lateral pelvic wall, while its inferior margin is adjacent to the
pelvic floor. The anterior sacral foramina are four pairs of openings
transmitting anterior rami of sacral spinal nerves from the sacral spinal
(vertebral) canal of the back to the posterior pelvic wall. |
