« BACK  to "Cardiac Arrest!"

There are several ways to pick a new patient. You can work through the patients by category (easy, difficult, paediatric), pick by specific diagnosis (hypokalemia, AV block, Cardiac Shock), or select patients based on whether you've completed the CME credit for that case. Each student has an individual file recording which cases are complete (the file also contains individual preferences, such as sounds for the quiz, AutoBLS on or off, Auto BP on or off, etc). In the picture below, the user is about to select a case based on presenting rhythm, or diagnosis.

Special Problem for Resuscitation

The "Pick CME Patient" option lets you see which cases you've completed for credit. Click on a category button (easy, difficult...). Now click the button at the right of the case report to begin the case.

The introductory video for each patient gets your adrenaline going. Many patients pose difficult therapeutic priorities. (Note: for the web site, the true colour of the Cardiac Arrest! display has been converted to 256-color. The appearance on your sVGA system will be significantly better than what you see here!)
